Hi. I was wondering if it could be possible to add one more function to
NPPExport?
The function I'd like is to export/clipboard html, but without CSS, and use
FONT tags instead.... (there might not be much need for this, but here is my
reasoning)
I use Evernote to keep track of notes, ideas, etc etc, and would also like to
use this for sourcecode, snippets and similar.
However Evernote does not support RTF, only HTML or pure text, and it strips
all CSS :(
So the only way i have found to put snippets with syntax highlighting into it,
is to do a screenshot :( or manually edit the html of the source before i paste
it in.
I took a look at the plugin api, however, im not very familiar with C or C++,
and I havent found the source for the NPPExport, so I haven't investigated it
much.

Search -> Find in Files, Replace tab. There are quite a few options to customise
the process.
In addition, you can first find occurrences, check from the Results window that
all need to be replaced, and then go ahead.
Enjoy.
CChris

Dave thank you very much, sorry that I did not look up plugins in advance.
Anyway I'd suggest that such a basic feature should be implemented in the core
since I think that most users won't ever feel like there is a plugin for this
functionality and therefore would not even try to search for it. But maybe I'm
wrong and I'm just too lazy :)
Have a nice day,
Matej

If you have a keyboard with the "back" and "forward" keys (normally used for
web browser navigation), they are mapped by default to previous and next
documents
in tab order (and it seams not possible to remap them in "shortcut mapper").
I don't know if it works also with "back" and "forward" buttons on a mouse.

Matej,
Now I've thought about it, you can do something similar without the plugin
- but it's not quite as neat. Just map "Switch to next document" to Ctrl-PgDn
and Switch to Previous Document to Ctrl-PgUp (use the shortcut mapper, they're
the options at the bottom of the first list). Then go to settings and
preferences,
misc tab, and untick Enable MRU in the "Document Switcher" box. It doesn't
seem to be quite as smooth, in that you can only do one document at a time,
but it works.
Dave.

Thanks CChris.
I found it in the edit menu. Is there any way to make the function info auto
show?

NPPN_BUFFERACTIVATED
You get the buffer ID passed to you - it's documented in Notepad_plus_msgs.h
if you have a read of that.
Dave.

I'm trying to use TextFX to insert a file name, but all I ever get is the first
letter. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey all. I'm trying to add to the built-in assembly highlighting scheme. I
went to Settings->Style Configurator and selected Assembly on the left. I then
selected "MATH INSTRUCTION" and added LDI to the list. However, NP++ isn't
highlighting it. I've tried closing/reopening the file. I've tried deselecting
and reselecting Assembly from the "language" menu.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Lunchboxtheman

How about checking
https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Messages_And
_Notifications for the answer?
The notification to listen to is NPPN_BUFFERACTIVATED .
