Josh Elser commented on ACCUMULO-3649:
--------------------------------------

Sorry to hear that you had trouble.

bq. the only two versions of the documentation available on the accumulo
website (1.5 & 1.6) still instruct the user to use the 'var' parameter when
invoking RandomBatchScanner.

Can you be more specific on where you actually see this? From
http://accumulo.apache.org/1.6/examples/batch.html

{noformat}
$ ./bin/accumulo org.apache.accumulo.examples.simple.client.RandomBatchScanner
-i instance -z zookeepers -u username -p password -t batchtest1 --num 100 --min
0 --max 10000 --size 50 --scanThreads 20 --vis exampleVis
{noformat}

I see no "var" parameter for the RandomBatchScanner invocation.
