bq. the fast path to fixing jdk8 javadocs is to turn off the jdk8 javadoc
linter. I'll file an issue.
Ah ok. I was going to ping [~ctubbsii] because I figured he would know what to
do (rather, he would probably want to fix our javadocs :P)
