FYI the error that @ctubbsii referenced `java.io.IOException: Stream is closed!` I think is fairly "normal" behavior for recovery. There is usually no way to close the WAL properly if the tserver is killed so when we read the WAL and try to close it, this is the error that is seen. This error is also seen when running RestartIT in the main branch.
