I think there error handling could just be cleaned up a bit. If we know the table is deleted, then don't treat the situation the same as an error. > I think the solution here might be to remove the code that throws the RuntimeException in the FileCompactor thread and call the checkIfCanceled method after the FileCompactor thread finishes to perform a final check.
