did your business logic rely on being LRU (keeping the most recently used)? Caffeine focuses on hit rates, so it mixes LRU / LFU / MRU behavior to maximize for the workload pattern. Thus, it might decide to immediately evict a recent arrival that would not be worthwhile keeping (e.g. a scan).
