One last thing for future consideration: The fixed "~2 days before / ~1 day after" search misses cheaper options. Midweek flights (Tue/Wed) are often much lower, and airfare and hotel should be traded off together, since a cheaper flight day can beat the fixed dates even after an extra night in a hotel for international travel.
