I like the goal but I don't think rebar is happy with the same dependency
specified at multiple levels, especially if they differ.
We are only currently pointing at a branch, rather than a tag, while we
build couchdb 2.0. It's essential that we point at a tag when we cut releases,
there's no guarantee that master will be compatible for all time.
