Sébastien Rousseau commented on COUCHDB-1917:
---------------------------------------------

I guess I must be writing incorrectly as you do not get my point, sorry English
is not my native language

So to get back on our matter I said that fix did not work, simply because it
does not work at all.

The uncommented commands that "are very obvisously wrong" are the ones natively
present in the script.
The workaround you suggested is commented because I tried them out (as I tried
to explain by saying I tried a few config), but there was an error as soon as
CouchDB started.
So I commented them out to show what command I tried, but kept the original
ones as I was able to start CouchDB with them

Anyway, let it go, I found a workaround by raising the param HEART_BEAT_TIMEOUT
to 60.

> Killed silently after "heart-beat time-out"

> Recently CouchDB has been prone to random quiet deaths. There is nothing in
> the stdout or .log files, only in stderr is a mention made of "no activity
> for N seconds" followed by "Killed".
