Review Comment:
I'll add that this is also an attempt to more obviously follow ASF [project
website branding and description
guidance](https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/pmcs#branding), which states
that:
> Every product homepage and any overview download page for the product must
include a prominent reference to the product as "Apache Foo software", and must
include a brief, one-sentence description of the purpose and function of the
software product itself. For example: `The Apache Xerces XML parsing library
software provides a complete implementation of the XML 1.0 parsing
specification, and is easily configurable and compliant with current standards.`
That one-sentence description doesn't appear on the production site until
much further "down," and I found it to be a much simpler, more straightforward,
and less buzz-wordy description of the project (I tend to be a member of the
"Just Say What It Is" camp).
