   @sbglasius both are fixed.

   **1. `getProperty` on a list from `application.yml`** (9d98736a2e). The maps
of a list are now given as plain maps only for a list that indexed keys alone
wrote, the case that gave plain maps before. The flat key of such a list holds
the plain maps the subscripts wrote, while a list from `application.yml` holds
its nested maps there too, so `NavigableMapConfig` tells the two apart without
anything new on `NavigableMap`. A list from `application.yml`, with an indexed
key over it or under it, and a list merged as a list, read as `List`, `Object`
or any other collection type, give their nested maps again, as 7.0.x does, and
`config.getProperty('app.rows', List)[1].missing.deeper` is null-safe again.
The release note is gone from the description.

**2. A second subscript after the first** (4a34bcddc3).
`holdIndexedContainer` now returns unless a `.` follows the first subscript
directly. Before, `a.grid[0][1].name=x` made the nested maps and the export
hold `[{1]={name=null}, 1].name=null}]`, so the value was lost as well as
misplaced, and `a.grid[k][1].name` did the same in a map. Both now read as on
7.0.x: no container in the nested maps, and the flat key holds the value as the
subscript wrote it. A list of lists of maps from `application.yml` also reads
as on 7.0.x.

   I also merged 7.0.x (aee05a3737), which brings in #16798. 9cd08db8ca makes
the one change #16798's description asks for when the two meet: a value written
below a subscript is written into its element as it was resolved, so an escaped
placeholder in a map inside an element of a list from `application.yml` is not
resolved a second time.

@matrei: those three commits and the 7.0.x merge are everything since your
approval at 45969ff5f5.

   grails-bootstrap (260 tests), grails-core (617, 3 skipped) and
grails-web-url-mappings (163) pass, and checkstyle and CodeNarc are clean.
