DTS packages can be created on the server and can be invoked from the front end application whereas BCP is a command line utility and calling it programmatically would be a problem. 2. DTS is more flexible and is the recomended choice for any ETL(Extraction, Transfromation and Loading) operations. 3. DTS can be used with almost any type of database/ relational database etc. 4.
