Aditi Hilbert commented on MYNEWT-114:
--------------------------------------

Sanjeeva,

Microchip PIC32 would be more preferable. ARM926EJ-S has a processor capable of
supporting a full OS such as Linux. The Mynewt OS is targeted towards
constrained embedded systems; so Microchip's 32-bit PIC MCUs would be more
suitable. PIC32MX would be awesome - PIC32 Bluetooth Starter Kit featuring the
PIC32MX270F256D MCU.

thanks!

> Mentor: Will San Filippo, Aditi Hilbert
> Difficulty: Medium
> Skills: C programming, familiarity with GNU Tool chain
> Description: Understand the ports already implemented for some MCUs (e.g. ST
> Micro’s STM32, Nordic nRF52) in Apache Mynewt and implement a basic run time
> system for your proposed MCU and the associated BSP (Board Support Package).
> You may also implement a HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) to include a small
> set of peripherals available for the MCU. All code must be tested and
> validated.
