The idea to add common actions with shortcuts to the editor background is quite convenient. Additionally, would it be feasible to incorporate action icons (from menus/toolbars), as this may provide added benefits for beginners? Another consideration, albeit it may be deemed excessive, is the inclusion of recent files and projects.
