I like it. In fact I like it so much that I think we should consider to turn the auto-open of the start page off by default - given that there is a button for it, where the user can open it and enable the auto-open again. (which would be weird timing since I just fixed that page https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/7141) The nb logo should have a purpose too!
