@JaroslavTulach thank you for your input. I agree with your comments and had an update ready. In this case the request to document the change was the crucial aspect. I originally thought, that it does not need documentation, as this only aligns the implementation with the documentation, but it is still a change and writing the entry ensured, that I reevaluated the situation. I noticed, that contrary to my first assumption `Language` is _not_ API. I don't know how I reached the other conclusion. As this is not API, it can indeed be fixed in the module.
