It _replaced_ the SecurityManager usage (which was not really for security reasons) with an agent. But I meant combining the agent code from above with a few minor things (like still registering NbClipboard) from Jan's proposal. That is all _if_ we end up with an agent. Personally I remain in favour of anything we can do not to have an agent or patch. I am completely in agreement with what @mbien said above - "It is fairly unlikely that we will start patching JDKs or use agents to rewrite bytecode in releases."
