Efficient material picking is crucial for minimizing delays and errors in
manufacturing. Currently, the Manufacturing module lacks a picklist feature to
guide pickers in selecting and retrieving raw materials efficiently. Hence, we
need to introduce a picklist feature for picking raw materials before the
production run starts. Additionally, the picklist should be organized in a way
that it helps pickers to pick items for multiple production runs
simultaneously. In Summary, the picklist feature should:
* Display material locations to guide staff accurately and efficiently.
* Optimize picking by grouping materials from multiple production runs based
on location proximity within the warehouse.
* Integrate the above-demanded features with supporting UI in the
Manufacturing module, enabling business users to generate, view, and print an
optimized picklist directly from the material issuance section in the
production run screen.
These changes will streamline material retrieval, reduce errors, and thus boost
inventory management efficiency.
