Head commit for run: 3b6e3d199a11086272eb8746084cf83a887d5306 / PJ Fanning <[email protected]> feat: add the dcz content coding from RFC 9842 Motivation: The 'zstd' content coding cannot use a dictionary. RFC 9842 defines 'dcz' for that, which compresses small or frequently changing resources much better using a dictionary that both sides have. Modification: - Add HttpEncodings.dcz and the Available-Dictionary, Dictionary-ID and Use-As-Dictionary headers, in scaladsl and javadsl. - Add Coders.Dcz and javadsl DictionaryCoder, which write and check the 40 byte header with the dictionary hash. The window limits follow RFC 9842: the decoder allows 8 MB or 1.25 times the dictionary, up to 128 MB. - Reject dictionaries that start with the zstd dictionary magic number, as zstd-jni cannot load those as raw content. - Add the encodeResponseWithDictionary directive, which adds Vary and applies the cross-origin rules of RFC 9842, section 9.3.3. Result: Servers can encode responses with a dictionary that the client has, and clients and servers can decode 'dcz' messages given the dictionary. Tests: - DczSpec, ZstdSpec, CodingDirectivesSpec and CodingDirectivesTest pass locally on Scala 2.13 - The rest is left to CI, see the PR References: Fixes #1392 Report URL: https://github.com/apache/pekko-http/actions/runs/42288289701 With regards, GitHub Actions via GitBox --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
