The Kubernetes lease/rolling-update name normalisation and the bootstrap host matching call it repeatedly with constant patterns. Modification: Hoist the remaining regexes into precompiled scala.util.matching.Regex vals. Replace the fixed-character replaceAll calls (" ", "_", ".", and square brackets) with plain String.replace. Result: Same output, without recompiling the patterns on every call.
