GitHub user SupersetOdT added a comment to the discussion: Missing Feature for
adding labels in deck.gl Polygon charts

I am regularly asked to add persistent labels on deck.gl cards. to locate
certain places that are not sufficiently highlighted with the base map. For
example, with indicators by municipality, users are unable to identify the one
where they live. They must then browse the map with their pointer to find the
right town by reading the tooltips one by one.

A remarkable evolution is made (for the image v6.0.0rc5?) in the deck.gl
GeoJSON graphic, thanks to the initiative of @JoshuaJADaniel (#36201). This
allows you to add persistent labels from points. It then becomes possible to
overlay the labels on the polygons with to deck.gl Multiple Layers.

@gautam-vaibhav302 Rather than overlaping these elements, I agree with you that
it would be easier to allow the display of persistent labels directly from
deck.gl Polygon.

Is it possible to transpose the coding work on the labeling of the deck.gl
GeoJSON graphic to deck.gl Polygon? The idea would be that the label is
positioned by default at the center and inside the concerned polygon. An idea
for a contributor?
