@richardfogaca fixed in 9b056c0d1c4d8eacb1a0e7c132f55898577d3d0f. Null or missing `chartId` in object metadata becomes a placeholder that preserves the slot's geometry and placement; non-null unreadable IDs still return 422 without detaching members. The PUT regression first reproduced the 422 against a persisted null-ID layout. It now covers null/missing IDs through both save payload paths, with copy and membership checks. Full-branch review also caught and fixed escaping of a superseded raw layout before flush and MCP's legacy string-ID precheck. Validation: 105 selected tests and full-branch pre-commit passed; independent Claude review cleared the exact tree.
