Anca Paula Luca commented on XWATCH-79:
---------------------------------------
Currently, the feedname is stored in the feed entry object, along with the
feedUrl as the connector between a feed entry object and its feed and it is
used in many places as a key for the feed, so I propose to have the feednames
case sensitive. Still, a user which is not aware of all these tech details
might expect the feednames case-insensitive in which case we should consider
'normalizing' the case of a feed name upon saving. If we don't do this, the
"This feed already exists" errors can become very unnatural for the user,
because a feed with that _exact_ name does not exist. Still, if we do this, we
will break a lot of case based names that a user might wish to use (e.g. camel
case names).
> Do not allow to create feed, groups or keywords with name that alreay exists

> Currently watch allows to create feeds, groups or keywords with a name that
> already exists, creating thus erratic states and filters. Watch should
> prevent this to happen at the UI level, displaying an alert such as "a
> feed/group/keyword with such name already exists, please pick another name".
> Should it be case insensitive ?
