Sorry for brief response on the rest, I'm on mobile:
1) yes to shelldocs
2) I hadn't noticed that, sounds good to add.
3) we want the integration test to run and {{--skipTests}} will skip it too.
setting {{test}} to a pattern that matches no test cases skips just surefire.
