My hunch is that Jenkins' signal isn't making it to test-patch's handler. if I
log into a build node (I'm running this on a local build server) and send the
test-patch process, it exits as expected. Using a relatively simple demo
(https://github.com/aw-was-here/jenkins-signal-bug) it can be demonstrated that
the signal never makes it.
So we're going to have to write a pid as well as document the cid so that
post() actions can kill us.
