Yeah I am building something in go (https://github.com/go-zookeeper/zk/pull/89) but it still would help significantly to have the zxid in the watch. I think, fundamentally, because this fits in the existing API, I don't think that the fact that the multis _can_ have this behavior is a strong enough reason _not_ to have this.
