He already has missed a few weekends... last weekend's shows were
officially listed as canceled only right before the weekend began.
The tickets had been put on sale earlier, then the sale had been
halted, but Rio sold VIP packages and just kept telling people to call
back... finally on Thrusday or Friday, they confirmed that the shows
were not happening and offered refunds. Of course people who planned
travel and hotel were ass out. It all seemed random.
Then the Wednesday shows have not been promoted at all... seems like
they are announced the day of. Saw somewhere that Roy Ayers was last
night's act... a legend.. but who knew?

Unless he was screening new material for an album for record executives or
doing a charity show when have you heard of Prince doing this type of event?
Honestly, the whole Vegas thing strikes me as odd. Never in a hundred years
unless he was washed up did I expect Prince to take Root in Vegas. So for
him to do special show for "High Rollers" is just bizarre for me. Keep in
mind this is all in my humble opinion

My in-laws have been loyal Flamingo Hilton guests
(same owners as the
RIO)
and Rewards members for years and they received a
"special invitation"
in
the mail exclusively for them. It includes a 7:00pm
Prince concert at
3121
on Saturday, January 13 (this weekend). Have you
heard anything about
this
and are you going? I'm assuming he will play at
midnight as well.
( It is true. I am not going at this time and hear
it is a private
