I've seen plenty of *males who like Van Hunt* at his shows.

    he's received from Prince.org

I've listened to both Van Hunt CDs. I really didn't like them. The
production was entirely too derivative and the lyrics, after a while, got to
be just silly. To me. But it doesn't seem like he's making music for me. I'm
sure this will change after I hit send, but I've never met a male who said
he liked Van Hunt. The dude has a target audience: women. Considering the
fact that women buy more music than men, that's not a bad marketing
strategy.

What confuses me is how the dude has all this time to sit around and ponder
what the internet says about him. Don't people come out to his shows? What
difference does it make what people on prince.org say about you if people
are coming out and paying to see you perform? Van Hunt seems to be a little
too emo to be funky. Which works for his target audience, maybe, but
probably do much to GROW his audience.

<Moderator: Speakin' of growing. My friend Wade suggested I listen a few
times. The albums will "Grow" on me. I don't want something to grow on me.
That is called "Brainwashing" I am already a brained washed Prince fan
thanks I will pass on anymore :-D -Derek>
