National Post School Outcome Community of Practice
-------------------------------------------------------
Colleagues,

I am new to the list serve and hope those of you who participate will be able
to provide some assistance as we consider revising our Post-School Outcomes
Survey and sampling method.

We would like to expand our survey to obtain more information from former
students about the preparation they received for life after school during high
school and about their post-school experiences to hopefully guide the
improvement of transition services at the State and local levels. As part of
that process, we are considering providing aggregate data back to the LEAs
based on information gathered through the surveys of their former students,
which we have not previously done before.

We are interested in hearing from any other States who may already be providing
I-14 survey data back to their LEAs. Have you found there to be a minimum
number of students per district that need to be surveyed in order to provide
enough data that is useful to LEAs for program evaluation? How do you sample
your districts? Do you sample some or all school leavers from a given district
every year, or are districts on a multi-year cycle?

Thanks in advance for reading and for any insight you may be able to provide!
