I also seem to remember that a reprint of the reprint, in the 1970's, of the small-pipes tutor by the NPS was published. In this case, when did the NSP drop it's backing on 'detached' playing? It is quite clear that the NPS promoted 'detached' playing as the only way to play. It would be interesting to read the 'aims and relationships' of the NPS in earlier publications. Adrian --
