Exactly. Colin R. has made one of these - whilst it plays, it is 
almost impossible to finger (I've tried, and I can manage a G chanter 
no problem) - the e and f nat holes are so close, it can't possibly 
have been an instrument of choice in previous centuries.

Having tried it and experienced the problem, I wouldn't bother making 
one myself - another case to my mind of "Why reinvent the wheel"

Others may differ - that's fine.
