I'd also like to know alternative sources of wax twins, and to join in encouraging Le Prevo or similar suppliers to produce them.
I've had mine from Le Prevo, and direct from the manufacturers but have been increasingly dismayed by the quality. I imagine they are quite tricky things to make and finding suitable skilled workers must be a problem, plus demand will be quite low. I've been phasing them out for a while now and have started using linen thread with filed down glovers needles for bellows, and have adapted my stitching and sealing method accordingly. I have a few packets of the rusty wax twin threads left which I am using up for bags. The thread is still good, and if they break it is easier to join in a new one on a bag, but I will eventually be using the same method as for the bellows.
