The Pipers' Gathering is on the move! Rising costs at Killington have forced us to seek a new home and we believe we have found one that you will all enjoy. Champlain College is a small, friendly campus in the heart of Burlington, Vermont which can provide our piping community with all the workshop, symposium and concert space we need as well as offering food and accommodation.
In response to last year's participant survey, we have also changed the date. The next Pipers' Gathering will be held during the first weekend in August: August 5th through 8th, 2011 (Friday evening through Monday lunchtime). Mark the date on your brand new 2011 calendars! We'll also be announcing our instructor lineup in the coming weeks. For those who have not yet had the chance to discover Burlington, it is an attractive town on the shores of Lake Champlain with good shopping facilities, fine restaurants and cruises on the lake. Unfortunately, you will not have time to enjoy any of this because you will be too busy attending workshops and playing your pipes. Burlington is well served by Interstate 89 and by its international airport. For those who are curious about our new venue, check out the link to the Champlain College Conference and Events Center: http://www.champlain.edu/Conference-and-Event-Center/Welcome.html We sincerely hope that you will support the Pipers' Gathering in this new venue and at this new date. We do it all for you.
