I believe that the most famous snotomer in the world is the glue on post-it notes.



   And it looks vile as well.

   Depends on the eye of the beholder   ;-)
   But it is also slightly poisonous.

Verdigris is pretty nasty if it can get past the skin. This I knew from an early age. My mother was a seamstress and was quite casual about getting stabbed by sewing needles because they were steel but pins were potentially very dangerous, particularly if you stood on one and got deep penetration. This is probably an old wives tale, but they usually have some basis in truth.
