Sorry, I should have been more specific. The message appears when I open the "destination" tab and select "Use custom local backup directory". If I close the message and keep trying, I can eventually select my external drive (after the message has reappeared at each stage), but there is then no option to save the configuration. I can navigate to any other tab, make a change and then save the configuration, apparently still with the correct destination selected, but when I close the configuration, it reverts to "use default backup directory". It retains my other changes, but not the destination.
