Stewarton, we've missed your posts on MM this season.

I think there is a definite lack of depth in the wide positions but what I
don't understand is Thick Mick's management style leading up to the Reading
game.

We have a very young and fairly inexperienced side who, like any other young
team, rely on confidence to perform well. So after 7 wins on the trot and a
chance to really build a lead at the top of the table, Thick Mick starts
talking in to the press about how we've got a defeat on the way, we're due a
defeat etc etc. To me that sounds like a strange way to instil confidence
in a team that was absolutely flying.

I'm sure Mr Wenger's team talks, during his unbeaten season with the
Invincible team, didn't involve telling everyone that they were due a loss
or that a loss was on the way. Confidence brings results and results bring
confidence, so why start talking negative at a time when the rest of the
division were watching us build a head of steam?

Not one single comment about our result on the weekend. Are people stunned?
Do you still have faith in Thick Mick/Merlin the Magician?

as we used to sing in the Southbank to the Northbank "It's all gone quiet
over there!!"
