In his last 4 seasons at Newcastle he has played 71 games scoring 26 goals. Not a bad record when he gets on the Park! However, the frequency of him being injured the older he gets has risen expponentially over time. Not sure if the risk is worth it when better alternatives are available. If Wolves can get him on a 20K a week or pay as you play deal with goal bonuses then it could be a good deal for both parties. He would certainly raise our profile and be a help to the younger striker's on our books. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Marcus Chantry Sent: Tuesday, 30 June 2009 9:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [NSWolves] Re: Poor Response to Glory game [sec=unclassified] does anyone actually think Owen would come to Wolves? If so, what would be the number one pairing up front considering we'd have SEB, Doyle, Owen, Keogh, Iwelumo, Vokes, Marcus Chantry | Associate Director Snr Product Manager - Macquarie Life Level 14, 9 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia T +61 2 8232 4259 | M 0448 887 627 E [email protected] P Please consider the environment before printing this email. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Morris, Lee SGT Sent: Tuesday, 30 June 2009 9:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [NSWolves] Re: Poor Response to Glory game [sec=unclassified] The Michael Owen signing will boost ticket sales _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeremy Tonks Sent: Tuesday, 30 June 2009 08:44 To: [email protected] Subject: [NSWolves] Re: Poor Response to Glory game [sec=unclassified] They should stop calling them 'friendlies' and advertising the battling midfield. I suspect that they will drop the prices this week to try and attract a bigger crowd and that should ensure a larger walk up crowd on Friday evening after work. They are saying that 9,000 pre sold tickets to a pre season friendly is disappointing, having thought that that the game would sell out. I'm sure there will be a large walk up crowd but even if there isn't, 9,000 plus for a pre season friendly isn't too bad really, the place only holds 18,000 so its already half full. Having said that I'd love to see the stadium full. _____ The information contained in this email is confidential.
