I remember those days playing 2 - 3 - 5 for Forest Star in the Walsall Junior Youth League! 5 up front was awesome when you were on top but not so good if you had to defend, made for some great games though. I confused the hell out of my Under 12's team at the start of the season when I started talking about who was playing left half and right half. In his last 4 seasons at Newcastle he has played 71 games scoring 26 goals. Not a bad record when he gets on the Park! However, the frequency of him being injured the older he gets has risen expponentially over time. Not sure if the risk is worth it when better alternatives are available. If Wolves can get him on a 20K a week or pay as you play deal with goal bonuses then it could be a good deal for both parties. They are saying that 9,000 pre sold tickets to a pre season friendly is disappointing, having thought that that the game would sell out. I'm sure there will be a large walk up crowd but even if there isn't, 9,000 plus for a pre season friendly isn't too bad really, the place only holds 18,000 so its already half full.
