Why don't we sit somewhere in the middle then?
A little less on the stadium and more on players.
Is this more about Morgan's long term business plan or Wolves on field
success?
Personally I think its a very dangerous game that we are playing, hardly
strengthening a team that barely survived relegation last year cannot be
anything other than a "big risk"

Some people have stopped saying it. I assume Wolves is run like any
other business that needs to break even or make a profit to avoid the
risk of going bust. We have the best run "business" in the league.
Unfortunately that is not consistent with having the best "team' in the
league in the short term. In the long term, it should pay off as we
don't have a load of debt to suck resources from the football budget.

Arsenal have cleared out a lot of players as they can't afford the wages
anymore. The football world is starting to turn. There are plenty of
clubs that are heading towards real financial trouble with the level of
debt they are carrying.

Whether the stadium expansion was a good idea is the only question here.
I can only assume that the business plan was sound in that it gavea
stream of money over the long term that could be used for football
purposes whereas spending money on players and wages is a short term fix
that catches up in the end

Have we ever stopped saying that?

I think it was pointed out after we struggled to beat Blackburn.

If they can spend money on stadium improvemnets that aren't
required, they should be able to find money for players that are
obvioulsy required.

I see we are back to "we should have bought more quality
players". I'm still waiting for someone to say where the money should
be coming from. It's been nearly six months now and nobody has
explained it to me.

don't need serious strengthening is kidding themselves."

"Some real quality is needed, we paid big money..."

Agreed. It would be great to improve the side. Your suggestion
is that we spend big money to do it. So who's going to put the money
up? You? Or are you suggesting that we borrow the money? And what
about wages, should we borrow to pay those too? I'm still dying to hear
some constructive analysis about how the club should change the way it
is run cause I'm not hearing much except "buy more expensive players".

I'm very happy we have stayed up, but as I said to a
mate last night, we can't keep going through this every year.

Elokobi is an awesome Guy, loves our club to bits and
has improved out of site over the last couple of years, and I hope he
keeps improving. I'm just not sure he is good enough yet....

Henry is definately not, he panicked every time he got
given the ball last night, was wreckless in the challenge, and lucky not
to cost us either by being sent off or giving stupid free kicks away.

Some real quality is needed, we paid big money for
Doyle, who kept us up last year and big money for Fletcher and Hunt, who
were both keys to us finally staying up this year.

So no coincidence that serious money needs to be spent
to make a serious difference.

Hunt was magnificent today, his terrier, never say die
work ethic turned the tide for us second half and what a goal to cap his
performance of with!!

                Wish list for next season:

                Left Back

                Centre Half

                O'Hara

                Centre midfielder

                Striker

I can see the likes of Milijas, Ebanks-Blake, Elokobi
and Henry (please God) being moved on in the Summer to generate funds
for new signings. Still think Milijas has something to offer us but MM
doesn't see it so best to move him on. Can't see Morgan getting rid of
MM after keeping us up, huge call if he does. It will be interesting to
see who replaces Clipboard? Maybe this new guy will have an impact on
tactics / team selection?

Very enjoyable season in the end, 11 wins and a couple
more points than last year, just wish we could be more consistent.

Marcus's how about starting at that same Pub we went to
last year? Better beer than Royal North Shore!

Not you. Marcus lost the bet. He's on our side now.

But to be honest, I'm sick of hearing the club I love
get bashed week in week out. Why don't you give it a rest for the
summer?

just him.

means hand in pocket for O'Neil.
