For once Steve I'd like to hear you comment on the team performance, the
tactics that were employed, rationalise the team selections and formations
being employed by the mercurial Mick McCarthy, rather than just relying on your
argument that "can't think of anyone better so we should keep him". This
constant and repetitive request for names of possible replacements for Mick is
tedious. Based on the past 6 weeks of performances I wouldn't care if Bennie
from Crossroads and Hilda Ogden from Coronation Street took over. The team
simply hasn't got a clue at the moment under Mick's guidance.

If Mick is so great maybe you can find the time to explain what it is the rest
of us supporters are missing in the weekly performances to suggest that he's
worthy of keeping his job. (I can send you recordings of the matches if, by
remote chance, you haven't seen any of the matches this season).

You almost had me listening then Paul until you mentioned Martin O'Neill.
You're talking about the same man that walked out on Villa because he was
dissatisfied with the amount of money being made available after spending 179
million pounds in the four years he was there.

I've been asking for years but no one can ever come up with a decent
alternative to Mick. It's still our best ever Premier League start. Names
please you doom mongers.

We need a big clear out and some new ideas. I thought Clipboard was leaving us,
why is he still at the club?

I still think Martin O'Neill could do a job for us. He is available and could
start asap. Which is what we need!

Matt, I can see both of these interested in the job. Especially if Morgan says
there is money to spend in the next transfer window.

If Doyle plays up front on his own his best work comes if we get the ball to
him with his back to goal to hold up for people coming through from midfield,
as despite the fact he does go down very easily he is actually pretty strong
once he's got the ball at his feet and will either bring someone else into play
or draw the foul (in either scenario I believe we're most likely to benefit
with Milijas on the pitch). Last night we continued to go wide in attack,
almost as if no-one had pointed out that Fletcher wasn't playing. We made
nothing from our wide balls into the box but continued to labour with it.
Milijas was picking some great early balls going forward, but once again was
the one to make way. I would much rather have seen him stay on than O'Hara once
SEB got on. O'Hara's shown some great ability but its not happening for him at
the moment - play people who are in form and force the ones who aren't to find
it to get back in.

I'm surprised that it has taken so long for Berra's wrestling to get any real
attention from the commentators - he's an absolute liability at set pieces and
if it starts to get talked about by the commentators it will surely be brought
to the attention of refs and could start to cost us dearly.

With the squad we have we should be able to do alright this year but I just
don't believe McCarthy uses his squad most effectively. Problem is the same one
as usual though - if he were to go who's available that would realistically
come?

We haven't got a Manager who knows what he is doing now, anything would be an
improvement.

I have watched the last 5 games without comment but unfortunately it is time
for a change.

MM has no plan B! All we try and do is get the ball wide to either Jarvis or
Hammil, who then proceed to give the ball away! The crossing last night and in
previous games has been shambolic! We can't play it through the middle because
Henry can't pass it forward and O'Hara is always trying for the "Hoddle Wonder
Pass" that never comes off!

Never thought I'd say it but Ward was our best Player last night.

Doyle missed from 2 yards and Johnson missed from about 5 yards, they were our
best chances.

The sad thing is the Baggies were not that good. Fletcher apparently has a torn
calf so will be out for a while. Dark days ahead!

I don't think not having a manager for the rest of the season will help us.

Naive?

MM will be sacked if we lose our next 3 games!

No fight, no skill, not even signs of good things to come! I'm off to bed.

Goodnight.

Hi naïve Paul. You know that Mick has nothing to do with the performances of
the players he's bought, that he trains and that he motivates.

2 - 0 now! Game over!

Major changes needed. O'Hara and Henry have been given enough chances.

MM to be gone before Xmas if we carry on like this.

Me and Les said the same thing. Milijas was right up for it and looked our
best player. Typical shite tactics.

Why fetch Milijas off? He looked our most creative player when they passed
the ball to him.
Johnson looks dodgy as. Hope we can salvage a point.
