I use a utility called cryptpwd that changes it.  I call it from a script
and put the exe on a share.

That is going to be a tough one, because you have to be authenticated as the
administrator to change the password. If you script that, if even possible,
you would have to know the current password to change to a new one. But it
would be interesting to see how this can be done.
