OK, so I just used cryptpwd to change 79 local admin passwords from a
command line. I am working on a script for this. Thanks to Brian for the
insight on cryptpwd!

One idea I had was to logon using a domain admin account and use user
manager to connect to each machine. I suppose you could supply the script a
list of machine names to whish you want to connect. Since I am not a
professional programmer I have to muddle my way through this and was hoping
someone had an easier way. In any case if I find a workable solution I will
share it with whomever wants it. Thanks,
Bruce

That is going to be a tough one, because you have to be authenticated as the
administrator to change the password. If you script that, if even possible,
you would have to know the current password to change to a new one. But it
would be interesting to see how this can be done.

Subject: Another Script
I am looking for a scripting way to change the local administrators password
on each on my Windows 2000 Pro desktops in my domain. Any ideas on
solutions or where to look? TIA,
Bruce
