I don't know about putting 2000 into kiosk mode, but you can start Internet
Explorer in kiosk mode by typing (from the command line): iexplore 'your
URL here' -k, for example "iexplore http://www.cnn.com -k". I'm sure you
could put this into a batch file in the startup folder of the desired user
and accomplish what you want with a little tweaking.

Hope this helps,

David

Subject: Kiosk Mode?

Hi all--

I seem to recall that there's a way to put a 2000 Pro workstation into
"Kiosk Mode"--that is, so that it's running only one application (Internet
Explorer) and that the user can't quit that app, nor switch to another. I
haven't been able to figure it out, though, nor find any reference to it
in my book nor in Help.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? Can I do it through Policies
(we're running a 2000 network)? Or is there some other way?

Thanks,
Rob Moore
