Dear Listers:
I have a scenario I was hopmg someone could assist me with:
Domain A is in LA
Domain B is FL
Linked via MS VPN
TCP/IP communication is no problem.
When you have a Win 95 pc that is logged on to Domain B and you try to map a
network drive to a shared resource on Domain A, you get a "You must be
logged on in order to complete this operation" error or something to the
effect. When you try accessing the resource with net use, you are prompted
for a password, but typing in the correct password results in "Network error
58" or something. With WINNT\2k you can net use to anything as long as you
have the correct user name and password for that resource, but in Win95\98
you cannot specify the user name (example: net use f: \\computer\share
/user:domaina\luser).
I know the simple answer: log on to Domain A - but this is a constraint.
Another constraint is that there must be NO trust relationship between
domains (political reasons); The Win 95 pc needs access to resources on BOTH
domains.
