Whenever we open "active directory users and computers" under Administrative Tools, to add a user for example, our Dell SC2500 (1.0ghz/512mb mem.) server slows to a crawl for about thirty to sixty seconds as we wait for the snap-in to open. Nothing else can be done during that time as that function seems to take almost 100% processing time and pings fail from clients for that 30-60 seconds.
