Perhaps the folder has already been deleted, but with part of the operation
pending? If true, after you boot the box, the folder will be completely
gone.

Subject: Win2k troubles: cannot access security tab

Hello-----

I have a problem on one of my Windows 2000 servers. A developer created a
new folder and when I try to open it I get "access denied". I cannot get
into the security tab to change permissions/take ownership because the tab
is not available. I have tried getting in with different accounts, all
members of the local Administrators group, with no luck. The drive is NTFS.

Now the developer cannot get into the very folder she created. Do you have
any idea what this could be?

thanks,
nathan wood
