I agree that the M$ docs on DNS were lacking.  One of the things I had
fun trying to do was create an A record so when a user typed
http://MySite.com they would get the same as http://www.MySite.com.  M$
didn't make it easy.

I can't remember exactly how to do the records M$ DNS, I've switched
over to letting a Linux box run my DNS.  But here's what you need:

One A record that has this:

mail.domain.com        x.x.x.x

and one MX record that has:

mail.domain.com

Now when someone sends email to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED], their SMTP server will look up the MX record for
"domain.com" and find "mail.domain.com" and then it will translate that
address to your x.x.x.x IP.
