We had a similar issue when we upgraded from Windows 3.1 to NT4, in that case we left one PC with 3.1 on it dedicated to that application.
We've also got an ancient Mac running somewhere in a similar situation. If you MUST have W2K on those boxes and the app isn't used all that often you could dual boot.
