Looks like it was the switch! We managed to come up with another live
switch on the same segment plugged in, and you know it worked. Thanks
for the fast responses though. Looks like the 3Com thing will remain a
mystery a while longer.

3Com cards are exactly the reason we had switch from auto-detecting the
Frame Type...
We didn't have to do that until we switched from another brand. I'm
curious to see, do you have another NIC from a different company like
Netgear or Intel?

Are you connecting with a PCMCIA card? I have seen this with 3com cards.
Could only get them to work on the HUB, don't know why either. Curious
to
know the results of this.

Subject: WIN2K NETWORK QUESTION

Problem: Double click Network Neighborhood and can see some of my NT
servers but not all cannot see any of my Netware servers. I am plugged
directly into the switch. My NIC is set for 100 MB Full Duplex the
switch port is also set to 100 MB Full Duplex.

If I unplug the client and plug into the HUB I can see all the servers
NT and NETWARE. Of course that is after I change the card back to Auto
Detect. I have tried changing the card to Auto Detect and the port but
still nothing. Any ideas?
