Good point. Add to that. Nothing I have installed to connect to the printers is third party, expect for the driver, that connects with a windows port.

We then had to go one step further and remove the reference to the above monitor under the drivers in the registry for each version of the printer and the dll for that monitor in the dependent files value. Example: Follow Q260142 and remove all non-default print monitors. Remove the reference to the non-default print monitor and the dependent DLL for each effect printer. (The HP Laserjet 5 Language Monitor driver is HPDCMON.DLL) HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows 4.0\Drivers\Version-0\HP LaserJet 4V Double click the Monitor value and delete the string. Double click the Dependent Files value, locate HPDCMON.DLL and remove it from the list. Repeat the above steps for all printers (some printers might not need to be changed). HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2\HP LaserJet 4V Double click the Monitor value and delete the string. Double click the Dependent Files value, locate HPDCMON.DLL and remove it from the list. Repeat the above steps for all printers (some printers might not need to be changed). HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3\HP LaserJet 4V Double click the Monitor value and delete the string. Double click the Dependent Files value, locate HPDCMON.DLL and remove it from the list. Repeat the above steps for all printers (some printers might not need to be changed). Use explorer and rename HPDCMON.DLL to HPDCMON.old Restart the Spooler Service. Is there any additional logging that I can increase to help me diagnose the problem more easily.
